SAS Bakelite Jewelry

     These are the Bakelite pieces that we make. Very little old Bakelite stock is available to us, so the production is very limited. We have been selling old Bakelite jewelry for several years and have had many requests for bracelets with larger inside diameters than the old bangles. We listen to our customers and most of the bangles will have an inside diameter larger than the old 2 1/2" and some will be smaller for those with slender hands who have trouble keeping bangles on their wrists. 

     Please note that these are not made from old Bakelite bangles.  They are made from vintage Bakelite bracelet tubes.  They are inlaid with old Bakelite, Sterling Silver, Brass and sometimes wood. The colors will mellow with time.

      Each is one of a kind.  We do not make duplicates of our bangles and hinged bracelets. All are signed SAS.  Starting in 2005, we also began putting the date on our bracelets.  If you would like to see some of the bracelets that have been sold go to our SAS Bakelite Gallery.
